2021 1SS non-1LE amp location?

Just got my '21 1SS today. I've been watching tons of videos on all the upgrades I want to do to my car. Eventually I'd like to add an amp and subwoofer to the car. I noticed under the trunk floor, where the tow hook goes, the amplifier is not there. I know in 1LE cars there is no amp, and for 2SS or camaro's with Bose, it is on the driver fender.

Did they just get rid of the amp for 1SS models? Or is it somewhere else now?

It's in the same place as the Bose: on the driver's side of the trunk floor, not the fender. If you also have MRC dampers, the amp will be on top of that module still on the driver's side of the trunk floor. It's just to the left of the styrofoam section that holds the inflation kit. Take a look at the second pic in the first post of this thread.

Yeah I don't have anything there in my trunk.

And it's not a 1LE, right? Strange. I wonder if they made a change for MY21 and ditched the separate for all but 2SS cars?

My 2021 LT1 has almost nothing below the trunk floor (and no amp, too).

Okay then, interesting change to "decontent" the cars for 21! I would focus, then, on stereo upgrades that people have done to their 1SS 1LEs from 2019-up. That should be the same as your systems. I made a thread on my upgrades, as one example. Instead of adding a sub, I focused on upgrading the drivers in the factory locations and used an amp with EQ/DSP and active crossover functions to dial them in. Massive difference in all aspects: frequency range (both high and low boundaries), accuracy, imaging, etc. Others have added an amp and sub to the otherwise-stock system. The key is tapping the speaker signal for the front speakers, not rear, because the rears are not full-range. You can cut into the factory wires under the dash or use a "breakout harness" like Gen5DIY made for me.

FYI

Here's the wiring diagram for the radio module (A11 Radio) and all the speakers in our non-amped cars:
