Elite Engineering E2 Catch Can Radiator mount???

How are we mounting the E2 Catch can up front by the radiator? I have the bracket that is meant to mount by the brake booster. Thinking I might be able to make something to extend it so I can mount it on the thermostat housing bolt??

Ideas? I did buy their E2 Bracket for the ZL1 but I think its for the 5th gen. Will find out once I get it.

My goal is to run the ADM expansion tank. Or can I get the Catch can and the ADM on the drivers side together?

Sorry search isn't working for me today.

I mounted mine originally on the thermostat housing bolt and I had no issues with the bolt or the housing. However, I noticed that the can got extremely hot due to its proximity to the radiator hose. So I just moved it to the fuse box mounting bolt on the passenger side front of the engine. I’m really not happy with it there either. Not much space below it. I may move it again to the area just behind the rotofab intake, but I’ll have to fab up a mount for over there. Might be a spring time project.

I'm not sure I'm looking at the same EE CC2 you're talking about (even though I searched, to try to be sure, and believe I am), but I have the 3-port E2, and mounted it off the thermostat housing. I don't really like it that way, but I have a pretty sturdy (1/4" thick) angle bracket I put together, and it seems to be just fine. I couldn't mount it off the strut tower because of my reservoir, but I think it's pretty much just fine. I know it works, in the least.

Yes we have the same CC. So looks like you used the supplied bracket then made up a L bracket? Thats what I had in mind. Glad to know it will work.

This looks like a good idea too. Would appreciate a better picture. Thanks. Will review your thread later as well.

That’s where I had mine and it gets smoking hot being that close to the radiator hose. Oring life will be diminished with all that heat.

I've not noticed mine getting way to hot, but I don't have that many miles on my ZL1 either.

I didn’t notice mine until I checked it after a 30 min drive. I had a little seepage from the drain so I checked it and couldn’t believe how hot it was there

Having it installed directly above the headers sounds like it would get really hot there too.

My headers are ceramic coated. And where I moved it is farther away from the header than it was to the hot radiator hose

So for those that have a Magnuson 2650, is there a safe / standard spot to mount the CC? I currently have my Elite CC mounted on the drivers side strut tower. However, I’m planning on a 2650 install in the next couple months and would really like to have everything ready for the CC repositioning. Thanks all…
