I made an offer on an LT1 and they said MSRP ONLY. They have a pretty steep doc fee as well. I will probably wait til the Summer. When the new mustang comes out I am pretty sure I can get a decent deal. I am also inclined to wait and get the last model year.

They're also a common rental in my part of the world. Used ones should go for a reasonable price, even these days.

I know wholesale used car values are on the decline these days but I can’t help but think by May this car will pull several thousand $ more than now selling it used...

I find it really depends. The last couple weeks I've been watching the market within 100 miles of where I live in the Mid-Atlantic. I've seen LT1s selling for anywhere from $2000 below MSRP to dealers trying to get $7k above (literally the opening offer I received from one dealer for a car on another dealer's lot where it was being sold at MSRP).

I guess, put another way, I think it is starting to correct. But I also worry we're heading into a crazy season with the last production year and folks may start circling like sharks trying to buy whatever they can.

I don't think dealers are getting many Camaro's right now. My dealer has finally started getting a whole shit load of trucks, Suv's but only has on Camaro and its a 2023 Convertible SS.

I think that has been the case for the last several years with Camaros. And with the Camaro being phased out in the next year the number of Camaros being made is probably going to continue to decline. That isn't going to help prices of Camaro's go down. However, the price of other more mainstream vehicles should continue to decline as inventories pick back up.

It just depends upon the dealer right now. The local STL dealer where I purchased my ZL1 last year has several LT1 verts. They are priced way less than MSRP. They also acceptany GM discount programs.

It is different from dealer to dealer.

I don't know about other dealerships, but I got a very good deal a month ago, on my new '23 ZL1 M6 Convertible. Manager didn't want the car hanging around all Winter on the showroom floor and wanted to move it fast. Car had an MSRP of $76,655. I got it for $72,000 (with dealer and supplier discount) + a $750 loyalty rebate. Also got 4.99% financing through GM Financial.

Same thing was happening when I was in the market for a last model year FJ Cruiser. The longer that I waited the harder they were to get. I feel that it will be similar with the last model year Camaros.

The only deal you get out here on a Camaro is your GM employee discount. Otherwise nothin. But if you go ZL1 you do not get the GM discount on that.

I have seen people getting GM Employee Pricing on the ZL1s as well.

Dealers in Texas are selling for MSRP for all trims of Camaro. I just placed an order for an 2ss 1LE from a dealer in Mississippi that I'm familiar with and they gave me 500 bucks off for MSRP for ordering with thing. I'm going to try to throw some rebates on top of that to get an even lower price

I couldn’t find a dealer that would honor GM employee pricing on a ZL1 1LE. There was one that agreed to take an order, no guarantees it would get built and I would need to add $1,000 to the GMS price. I ended up going used, CPO.

That is interesting. I know the moment they entered it in their system here apparently it took that option away.. Good to know others are getting it!
