Smile J6G Brake Pads for track and street

Hi all,

So I currently struggle to get parts for my 2018 Camaro SS Convertible in Ireland (limited availability for parts for American performance vehicles).
The biggest struggle is brake pads. I needed some and shipping was a pain in the ass timewise from the US, so I ordered from Germany for brake code J6G.
They sent me Powerstop Evolution Plus Z17.
Now I never used Powerstop, but some friends have and said they're good for street use, but I track my car regularly, so I was wondering if any of you have ever used the Z17s and what your experience was with it?
Also if you use any alternatives and what you'd recommend for track use and daily driving or something in-between.

Hope all of ya'll have a great day and greetings from the emerald isle!

The Z17 pads aren't acceptable for track use. They may not even be acceptable for autocross use (gymkhana). Even the Z26 pads are barely adequate for that, and they're a step or two up (toward more performance) in their line. I don't know all the pad manufacturer's models. The Ferodo D2500 is a good compromise between street and track, but their DS1.11 and DS1.12 are more track focused pads. Powerstop makes a Track Day pad compound that might be pretty good. I've never used it.
