Roll bar plus halo seat problems

Has anyone else installed a bolt in rollbar(RPM 4-point) and a halo style seat?(OMP HTE-R) I can seem to find a combination of seat position/height that doesn't contact the bar and feels remotely comfortable.

In my eyes, the RPM bar seems to sit WAY out from the b-pillar/door frame and much further forward than I thought. This force the seat forward either straight upright, or VERY far forward resulting in sub optimal leg positions.

Is my bar(2nd hand) just out of spec? Bent? Or is this just what RPM bars get you? Are they just made for stock seats?

I'm half tempted to just ditch the bar since I can think of a way to fix it that doesn't involve cutting and welding(things I don't have the capability for)

Thanks for anyones insight.

Mine definitely bolts further back and attaches on the lip from the rear seat and not the floor like yours...

Ken, how close to the b-pillar does it sit? I feel like this rpm one is about 4-6 inches too narrow for some reason….

It's pretty close and you can kinda see it on the passenger side in the photo.

I'm away from the car until the first week of December and I can take pics then.

I just got a message back from RPM and apparently this was how the first gen roll bars were constructed. The 2nd gen bars are much wider and conform to the B-pillar.

Now I just need to figure out which is cheaper, having the bar modified or finding another one and ditching this one.....

I don't have that issue. Vivid racing bar and Sparco Circuit I seats.

you are probably down stream of this decision, but I'm pretty sure I have an early RPM bar and a SParco Circuit 2 seat. they work fine together. if you need more info or picts, let me know.
