Cool Phastek Sound Tube Delete Kit for SS Camaros

We are pleased to announce a new product we have added to our line up. Introducing, the new Phastek Sound Tube Delete Kit for 6th gen SS Camaros.

This kit was created for the enthusiasts that is looking to eliminate the factory sound tube on your Camaro. The main plug in this kit is 3d printed out of ABS for it's strength and durability to prevent any issues with underhood temperatures. The second part of this kit is a Genuine GM product, the firewall cover is a factory cover that was meant to use on Camaro's that did not have the sound tube option. This cover will sit in place reusing the factory hardware to hold the cover in place.

Did every V8 come with this sound tube? My LT1 which I bought with over 2k miles didn't have one but it did have the plastic bracket for what I thought was the hose on the driver side. Also has a plug in the airbox air tube.

Seems to be sporadic. The 1SS's still have it but the 2SS's no longer have it. Not sure about the LT1?

I've tried, but really don't hear the benefit.

I have the build sheet for my car but not sure if it would be listed there. It's a 2022 LT1 A10 and it doesn't even tell me if a trans cooler is on the car (But I know there is) IDK if the car came with the sound tube or it was deleted or it just never had one installed from factory. In this case, I'm glad I don't have it. I don't have to put in on "the list" of things to do. IMO it's stupid as hell. Serves no performance purpose. Clutters up the engine bay. You want loud engine/exhaust/whatever just install long tubes or a catback. Also, not sure what the logic is to installing an air hose in between you throttle body and airbox is. Seems like it would be like having a vacuum leak before the throttle body
Might as well install some K&N stickers too

I don't really think it would be considered an "option". I'm wondering if it's a manufacturing plant thing? I'm going to have a look at my build sheet to see what it says. In any case, I can live with it or I can live without it. Aesthetically it does look better without it.
