The other evil thought I had regarding why standard features for Z71 have been gutted is if their anticipated pricing is so high that the only stomach-able MSRP to advertise would be the optioned-down version, then the Convenience Package II (which contains most of what the '22 Z71 had standard) will push that above a palatable MSRP.

I think, as we mentioned before in this thread, the Canyon will be moving upmarket. An AT4 even stock I think will be above $45k. Remember, there is a 2WD Elevation. So if they are suggesting a ~$40k entry point for the Elevation, that means the 2WD Elevation. 4WD will add a few thousand, then jumping to AT4 will also likely jump $1-3k more. I think I'm going to pursue placing an order for a Z71 now with just the level II package. The level III "includes" the Safety Package which means it won't be cheap. Hopefully getting just the level II lands me around the stock MSRP for the current gen.

A lot of the package terminology listed right now is using old package names for those order codes. It will all change once they get everything in the order system finalized.

Looks like the same RPO as the Z71 Convenience Package III, could be a placeholder? Just like how the Sharkskin he ordered isn't in the order guide either, but uses the same RPO Code as the Sterling Grey Metallic which is

My guess is that they're offering stripped out packages so that they can still build these models when they are hit with semiconductor shortages. There is no doubt that Colorado will be affected by parts shortages just like Silverado, Tahoe, etc. A lot of the higher optioned packages and trims just aren't available for ordering right now and there is high probability that Colorado will be the same.

I also wouldn't count on it being anywhere close to what the current model is priced at. Based on the increases I've seen in every other model over the last 11 months, I expect the Colorado base prices to be $3k-$5k more than 2022.

That's what I'm thinking. W/T around $28k, LT starting just over $30k, Trail Boss mid-30s, Z71 close to $40k.

I think you're way off there too. I think it's closer to $32k base for a WT.

A 2022 2WD crew cab WT is $29,530 base. No way the new one comes in at or below that.

My guess is,

WT:$31,995
LT:$35,595
Trail Boss: $40,995
Z71:$43,995
ZR2: $49,995

Haven't decided if I want the Glacier Blue or the Sterling Gray. Probably going with the blue.

Assuming I pull the trigger on the 3rd gen as I'm not yet 100% decided (but pretty hyped lol) blue is currently in the lead for me also. Playing with the build site will help with that decision. Would be the same blue as my wife's 2020 Blazer which I think looks pretty nice. Camaro is Hyper Blue, which is close, but not exactly the same. I guess I just like a good medium metallic blue lol.
