Broken Dive Plane

Ran an autocross this past weekend. It seems I am turning in way too early and hit a lot of cones. One of them broke the clips (or whatever the name is) that held the right dive plane on to the car. Now it's only being held by where it attaches to the bezel and a small strip of double sided tape.

Anyway, my question is to anyone that has had to replace theirs. Is it pretty easy, like it just snaps in, or is there more involved and I better take it to the dealer? I'm not a mechanical/body work person, I can rotate tires, but that's about it.

It was pretty easy. All that's required is to remove a few screws from the fender liner and remove the side marker light. There are clips that go into those openings on those tabs. Note the top tab was broken. If I remember correctly, there are 2 that you access thru the inner fender and 4 more that you access by reaching right into the opening of the bezel.

Yes, I believe that someone accidentally walked into mine and broke it.

Similar to people hitting their shins on hitch balls. To bad it didn’t leave a mark on the guy

I believe the front dive planes are literally the widest point on the car

If you can can you send me the info on where you ordered from, also, did it come with the clips to install and secure it?

The clips are separate. I’ll try to get the parts numbers and where I ordered later.

Thank you, I ripped one off on my garage door. Not sure if it was a defective piece or engineered to break off without damagaing other parts. But luckily it came off on my garage door frame and didn’t cause damage.

I need to make my baby whole again though. Please let me know the part number for the clips as soon as you can.

Thank you.

Clips - 11547341 $5.32 list. I paid $4.22 from Mathews GM Center, Inc.

Driver’s side “Deflector” / Dive Plane - 23329726 $65.23 list. I paid $45.40 plus $8.50 shipping from That GM Parts Guy.

I ordered 1 clip but, I didn’t end up needing it. The old one was found and reused.

Sorry for the delayed response as i had company.

Awesome, thanks man. I could not find the clips for the life of me. The clips sell individually? So each dive plane needs about six, i need to order six of 11547341?

Thanks again
