Glad I’m not the only one who saw the valve cover weight. Pretty surprising…I didn’t think the OEM ones were heavy enough to save 8 pounds with aftermarket ones.

I thought that someone tried that and the weight savings was only ~3 lbs or so? Guess I’ll have to do some digging…

Laynlo. If those motor mounts save 18lbs , I’m buying them asap . I heard it was like 7 or 8. I think TSP mentioned it somewhere . But I will
look into it . 18lbs is very substantial.

Found it. Total weight savings between the two mounts is 4.8 pounds. Not bad but certainly not *18* GREG.

Way to much work for 5 lbs, but if you need a super strong motor mount and do not mind what your going to hear and feel, all is well imo. Never going to happen for me as my LT1 is my daily driver.

That's not how I remember it. I wish I still had them but pretty sure I threw them away.

Well evidently I made a mistake and looks like about 5 lbs difference if I got it right from the dealer. They were about 3.8 each x 4 per my dealer. According to BMR theirs are 10 lbs. So sorry for the confusion, guess being 71 in just 2 days I got it wrong.

I remember weighing them and the BMRs. I even looked for the old ones today and I guess I did dispose of the a few years back. I was born with 5 brain cells, used 2 of them in the 60's and 70s if you know what I mean. Lost another because of age so I'm working with two and sometimes they are both fighting each other. What's a guy to do?

No worries fellas! It’s all good. Us “younger” guys know we’ll be there someday ourselves if all goes well. Forum is way better with you guys around.

Sounds good! The only thing I can probably teach you is how to hemorrhage cash.
