NEW JERSEY C5 Meetup II

Okay gang, we’re going to do this meetup on Halloween. Costumes are optional, but strongly encouraged. A few have already committed to dressing up and there is no turning back now.

Saturday, October 31, 2009 at noon. It’s going to be in Cherry Hill. Right next to Red Lobster on Route 38.

We're going start the cruise to Famous Dave's around 1:00, with a stop at Cooper River along the way. Here is a map to print out.

Spaceballone is letting the restaurant know in advance there should be about 25 of us so they can have seating ready for when we arrive.

Next meet with ne in North Jersey somewhere - location to be determined.

Only bad Saturday in October for me is 10/31 Halloween as cool as that would be to meet in some sort of costume... we're a a Birthday Party that day.

Is there going to be cruise this time??

I'm just not able to make it oct 3rd or 10th... my car is being built this week so I hope to have it the first week or so of oct... i will know more def sometime this week! yay! CGM will be at this next meet up!!

PNC is good for me... unless we do marlton/cherry hill area? (PA people might come to that too then...)

PNC is good for me... unless we do marlton/cherry hill area? (PA people might come to that too then...)

I would love to do the cruise. We can try to incorporate that into our plans if there is enough interest.

Cyber Gray will be a great addition…I love that color. I think we only had 5 of 10 colors representin’ on Saturday despite having 14 cars.

If there is such a thing. I think getting the PHILA crowd involved would be great. Like i stated before I am also Cherry Hill Area, but do not mind driving. We do have alot of Resturants that i could set up a party reservation for if needed. Also all the streets are in excellent condition to drive on and Cherry Hill Mall has alot of space to accomidate a ton of cars. But im up for what ever as long as we can cruise a mile or 10 with everyone and gets some great shots!

Thanks to everyone taking time to plan and come support these events. I always see the classic and collectors clubs meeting and driving and i want to be apart of it, but this is even better; because in 40 years we will be looking back on these meets telling the new 2049 Ludacris Speed Camaro's! lol

How about Menlo Park Mall. Its more central NJ and plenty of space. I could probably make it either the 17th or 24th or 31st

S-10Ken, we had a successful meet at Freehold Mall this weekend so we're looking to have this upcoming meet in a different spot this time. Menlo Park Mall was up for consideration and a lot of people were up for it...we just had a few more names interested in Freehold. I hope you can join us though.

Spaceballone, good idea to get the Philly crowd involved. Cherry Hill definitely interests me for the next meet. If you want to do something to help, maybe you can make a post (or find the right thread) to get in touch with those Philly people and let them know what we're considering, and make them aware of this thread so they can check in. Thanks.

Parking wise, Menlo Park Mall is not a great choice.

Its a big state and we'll need to rotate meets between south, central and north - you'll recall we also had a post on getting together with the NY members near their border. So we'll need to be mindful of where the NJ members are located to be reasonable as to where we'll meet and rotate south, central and north as appropriate... I don't mind driving either - we'll should just try to be equitable where possible.

Also, sooner or later, we'll need to address whether we're a casual group who gets together whenever/wherever or a group with a bit more structure (yet not a "club" unless we want to evolve to that in the future)...

Didnt you suggest we should come up with a list of members and their locations?

I would love to be able to join you all. The 24th would be the best for me, because I'm pretty sure my camaro will be delivered by the (TPW 28 Sept.). I'm stationed in MS, but I'm from North Jersey and thats where my dealer is also. I would have no problem planning my leave around this meet up.

I’m thinking the South meets will be Philly friendly and the north meets would be more New York Friendly. The Central meets are probably geared best towards everyone as a whole, although I understand Central Jersey could still be 75-100 miles for some of you (but at the same time, that makes north and south 150-200 miles for some).

Anyway, we’ll see how this works out. I guess we should really try to see if we have more interest in a North or South meet in October, and go from there?

As far as being a casual group or a club, I guess that will work itself out over time probably. If we continue to have a core of folks that keep coming out for these meetups I guess we can think about make it “official”
