There's one line in the owners manual on page 260 on the right side.

Never really thought about this before, but having the battery in the trunk is no doubt better for its longevity. It's the heat that kills them. Here in Oklahoma mine typically last about 3-4 years.

I've had that panel off once before and it looked a tad more awkward than changing it under the hood, but not unreasonably so.

I just changed mine, and it's not that bad at all.

I saw but no pics or nothing. Plus i am blind anyways and have a hard time reading or seeing anything up close. I got glasses for reading, the computer and normal seeing. I could never use a smart phone and why i have a 27" monitor.

My 2016 Camaro is still on it's factory battery. No starting issues at all. I wonder if it's due to the car being barely driven for the fist 3 years- it had only 6K miles when I bought it in 2019.

Especially in the Georgia heat!

I recently replaced the battery in my 2017. Car was produced in October 2016.
There are you tube videos showing how to replace the battery.
If you are careful, it takes longer to remove the trunk liner for access than actually
changing the battery.

I replaced before I had to, although I could see on the charging hand the battery was starting to loose power. Many problems discussed on here have ended up being the battery. Ironically, my key fob batteries had to be replaced at the same time. I received the message on the dash and replaced in both key fobs.

These cars are very electrical dependent, compared to cars of the past.

The battery is right next to the blinker fluid reservoir, you can’t miss it.

Negative...my 2016 SS only had 900 miles when I bought it and now only has 13k miles... Imo AC Delco had a bad batch of batteries in 2015-16 because I had to change batteries in my 16 Camaro, 16 Terrain Denali, and wifes 15 Equinox all around the same time. Never ever had batteries die so fast prior.

Myself Camaro SS 2016 - 2019 zero battery problems. Only a slow hot cranking problem a few times due to the starter solenoid location. My 2019 Camaro SS 1LE zero problems with battery, it came with a battery tender. Smile

Chalk it up to the luck off the drawl?

If you search a lot of people had batteries replaced under warranty on 2016's.

No one knows how long they last. They are all diff. Some are bad from the get go and some last 8 years. FL avg is around 3 to 4 years. The one on my 2010 5.3 Colorado had a green ball the size of a base ball on the Neg post in under 3 years. Lucky i popped the hood and saw that. It was cracked on the top.
