Mine is an A10 2020 2SS and I don't think I have it... I'll check on Wednesday when I pull the car cover off...

It was not tight...it just spins. I bet Yotaman96 is on the right path. I think I recall reading a post about trans breather. I bet that’s the function. It’s not a sound tube part because I took mine off and know there was no fidget.

Yea sounds correct to me. I’m 300 miles away from first oil change so I’ll ask em when the time comes.

Im no help as far as verifying what it is, although I agree that it probably has something to do with being a vent tube for the A10. I’m a 19 A10 and I have it.

It’s a vent. I’m about 100% positive. Looks like one. Top doesn’t twist on and off. And if you follow the tube it’s attached too..... I bet it’s attached to the transmission.
I’ve seen them on cars for years and heavy equipment for years. They put them on differentials too. Engines too but engines have usually a different design.

That picture and post did help cause now I know 19 A10 specifically has it. Thank u brotha. Yours looked like the cap wasn’t tight too so I’m guessing it’s designed to not be tight fit on. Thanks brotha.

Looks like we got the answer then finally haha. I’m guessing honestly it’s not even that essential then right? Just something there to help a bit and leave alone.

No it’s there for a reason. If you don’t vent pressure then it will push seals and cause leaks and/or cause excessive heat and overheat the oil. Differentials have vents too. Do not remove it.

I haven't had a chance to look at my 2020 2SS with an A10, but from my previous pictures, I don't see it...

Often times when transmissions have internal problems they will spill fluid out the vent. I’ve seen it plenty of times.
I could be wrong, maybe that part isn’t a vent. But by the description and picture it certainly looks like a vent to me.

Can confirm, this is a "Transmission Vent Hose", it snakes down to the top of the transmission. GM part numer 24293649. You'll find this on 2019 LT1 10-speed automatic Camaros.

I can report next week from my 19 how tight this cap it, but I would bet it is barely snug.
