I was just thinking about this. motion works has some tbm(the brake man) brakes on their camaro. they look like dirt bike brakes with the wavy cut out rotor and pretty small calipers. they look bad ass and I hear about people driving them on the street and things like drag week. I would love to know more about them.

it isn't just weight, the tbm brakes talk about reduced and even zero drag when the brakes are released. my question for them is can they bring a 3800lb car down from 160mph. other questions like do you keep the power assist and antilock stuff or do you have to remove all that?

I’m just looking for a lightweight option that is still street able i lost 76 lbs with dragpack so I would like to continue the trend . So I will be keeping power assist and antilock .

Grr, some posts were lost from yesterday.

Aerospace has several kits to pick from. Their race kit drops “about” 46lbs off the front of the car and is cheap. Something like $600 but you need to get lines from gpi. He said the street kit weighs 29.5lbs(rotors, brackets, calipers)

Their street kit saves “about” 40lbs and cost around $700. It weighs 35.5lbs. It would be nice to know the weight of the stock components so we could check the savings.

The front kits that a few guys are using are light, but they are small, so in my opinion they are a drag racing mod.

Aerospace has their stuff 30% off right now. Problem is you still need lines from gpi so I don’t know what that brings the total up to.
