I was hoping not to with the sand on the road I was going to trailer directly to the Xpel installer. How much acceleration are you doing to get your car to act up so I can test mine when it gets here?

My dealer has 3, Red, Garnet, and Blue.

Nothing we did to the suspension, tires alignment, corner weights, tire pressures, conditions, with and without passenger has any affect on it.

Ted's issue is separate from the "Floating" feeling that some/all? ZL1 owners experience. Thankfully GM has gotten the issue, but hopefully it gets resolved in some sort of a timely manner. I'd be pushing for a buy-back myself.

I haven't driven my ZL1 yet but I'm guessing it's guaranteed that I'll feel the rear end float.

Possible that both Ted's problem and the "floating" feeling are both related to a new fangled ELSD that maybe wasn't quite ready for production?

Agreed, although mine is unique I feel it can be related.

Does it continue to "steer" left until you let off the throttle? Or does it jerk the car over at first, and then hold steady?

Update, back to the dealer yesterday afternoon, Tech hooked up a the MDI, and Service manager brought out some tech bulletins.

They wanted to verify the Steering sensor calibration as someone mentioned above, and it was fine, they did a calibration anyway.

NOTE to guys complaining about the Trammelling as GM calls it, or Wiggle on acceleration, there is a reprogramming update released March of 2018 to address this.

They applied this update to my RDCCM, Rear Differential Clutch Control Module.

They also found a code for a Clutch control command permanently failed.
I may have worded this incorrectly but that is how I remember it.

So They are trying to get an OK to order a new Differential.

Well if it was released after your car was built I would venture to guess you do not have the latest program.

Really cool! Were they able to provide any details about why that was happening, or what the recal fixed?

Not a recall it is a bulletin, so they only apply the reprogram if someone complains of this wiggle thing.

I suspect is applies more even torque to the right and left clutches with a wider window of Steering angle.

Just my Opinion no facts.

This is great news regarding the reflash. Bad news about your rear diff. Thank you so much for sharing the good news though! I can't wait to get it reprogrammed and give it a go highway... I mean track.
