WoW Ted... I hope they work this out quickly. Doesn't sound like what I experienced but could be related since so many others have experienced it. |

I would like to know more about how the ELSD works and the Torque vectoring works. Been driving it and watching different screens but still don't see anything that points to the problem. I will try the PDR. Ted.

That doesn't directly relate here, but it does provide some evidence that the torque vectoring of the eLSD is pretty influential on the car, and that steering position, like Travis suggested, is a pretty big input for that particular system. It doesn't help, but I wonder what you'll find on the PDR recording. |

But if you turn the wheel off of the turn at that point, as good drivers will to compensate on their own and use that little bit of slide to their advantage...the car's systems will think you're beginning to accelerate straight (according to Tadge on the 'Vette)...What he's suggesting could actually result in higher corner exit speeds. Pretty clever, but it would take a lot of getting used to for intermediate and pro drivers...and of course, not written in the manuals, anywhere. ![]() |

When you start to apply light throttle mid corner the car rotates a lot more so than my 13. Then as you power out there is much less drama. It actually pushes little. This rotation is actually causing me to early apex and then I run out of track/road on exit. The fix seems to be drive it in to the corner harder with more speed and apex later LOL. I haven’t played with the rear bar yet. I want to get some consistent times as is. Then I'll take one track day and try the rear bar adjustment in all 3 positions to see what style best suits me. My guess is i am going to want it stiffer to make the car a little looser... I like the drama on corner exit! Sorry to here about the trouble you are having with your car Ted. I thought for sure it was a tire problem... I wonder if you can put a couple GoPro's under the car and watch to see if one of the tires are toeing in when you get on it. A pull left would meen the driver rear tire is toeing in, or the pass rear is toeing out...

I’ll fully admit that since I have had the at for almost a year that I have somewhat gotten used to the skating rear end feeling when hammering it at around 50-60mph. I don’t like it though. But, I just stay in the throttle and it works out. It does feel like the elsd is doing something to compensate for whatever is going on.

Just saw the threads.
That’s frightening! Really dangerous! And it looks frequent. I hope it’s not generalized. |

Gentlemen, it’s time I make an admission, as that’s the first step towards recovery. I too suffer from the strange rear end float in my ZL1 at higher speeds going WOT. I used to write it off to the crowns on country roads I would usually do a spirited pull on....but it happens on the flat freeways as well. Mine seems to kinda wobble left to right a few inches back and forth.
My passengers haven’t said anything but I wonder if they are EXTRA white knuckled. I’m sure they feel it. |

Update, went to the dealer this morning and took the Service manager out and showed him what it is doing, He was Freaked out by it.
So we took an Identical new car out and it went perfectly straight under the same test. They have a call in to a GM Chassis specialist that has the case on his desk. Now the waiting game begins.
