In a thread back on Camaro5, I said that I am trying to come up with a reason for why the 6th gen won't be posting nearly identical times to the ATS-V. And with all that I've seen today ... I still don't have a good reason for why it wouldn't. But I just have a hard time accepting that it would be that quick. I like to be conservative in my estimates -that way it becomes a good thing if I'm wrong. So all that said ...
I'm thinking ... 0-60 in 4.1 1/4 in 12.4 The V6, maybe 5.5 & 13.6? And the T4 bringing up the rear at 5.7 & 14 flat

If the overall gearing with the 20" tires is the same with the M6 as the Gen5 I would say 4.3 and 12.8 for the SS. I am thinking GM will put more fuel economy oriented gearing in the Camaro vs the ATS-V, which also has 18" wheels. The A6 may drop those numbers a tenth.

It's an A8. And the current car will run a 12.8. 12.9 even in rags. Not sure how you think another 30 hp and 200 lbs less will equate to a tenth ?
At least a half second over the outgoing car... Driver error not included. Compared to the previous auto l99 the difference is going to be in another universe. If the new v6 weighs in around 35-3600 lbs at 335 hp will give the 5th gen SS auto a hard time. |

The stingray is getting high 11s bone stock. The A8 6gen Camaro will run low 12s, and we will have a hero run of 11.9.

Dare I say this could go even lower than 11.9 with negative DA, amazing prep and driver? A mag should take this car to atco or englishtown next year in the spring and pay Evan Smith to drive it lol. In the bench racing world ( which means little ) it's looking like a beast. |

Mag times will get low-mid 12's out of the A8 and hero times will be mid-high 11's.

The 2016 Camaro SS LT will run a 12.4 at best on average. The same engine in the A8 C7 weighs 3,300 lbs which is much lighter and it's advertised quarter times are 12.1. Now someone who shows a stock car running 11.7 we can find a slug running 12.5. Nothing wrong with low to mid 12s, after all GM didn't advertise the ZL1 nor Z28 breaking 11,s although we can find them or with very few mods get there. Now a 2016 with a SL7 would be a dream!
I like the looks of new Camaro, good job GM, |

I personally believe we see 4.1-4.3 0-60 times. The SS sedan that is much heavier and has an LS3 iregularly hits 0-60 in 4.5 to 4.7.
I see Car and Driver posting 3.9 to 4.0 with their roll out metrics and normalization... |

Any chance the A8 T4 is faster/quicker than the ecoboost Mustang?
