My Eddie 2.65L has finally arrived...
A moment of silence please to mark the end of this 3.5-month saga. The porting looks awesome, but I'm not sure that Kong wants pics published here.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!!! NICE!!! That's how they should've come. I wonder if the importance of the inlet on these TVS-blowers wasn't really appreciated until the last couple years. No one thought a 1740 would be pushing WELL into the 900s at the tires on non-race gas, and in the last couple years, Kong and others have proven that wrong. Now - they're applying that to most everything and getting results from most. That's pretty cool. That port is definitely going to help you out.
Thanks for sharing. It's cool to see that stuff.

There is no free lunch. Extreme Porting compromises structural integrity of the casting. Which is likely why these companies don't port them out further. They design the blowers to last 100k + miles. Most customers that port them will likely never put more then 25k miles on the setup. So the potential longevity compromises will go unnoticed. Now a light port job that cleans up casting flash and what not probably won't weaken the casting, but excessive porting such as the X port 1.74 can.

He says an additional 50-100 hp depending on blower rpm, and he should know since his cars are often on the dyno.

This is the stock Maggie case. Yeah - I thought about grinding/polishing the inlet, to the face of the rotors, just because (I doubt it will improve anything for my purposes), but it just feels like any less meat around the front bearings couldn't be good for supporting them. Looking at that support now, I feel like I'm being hypocritical, lol...

He said they have never had a failure on one of these, because nothing is compromised structurally when they do their work.

Not to argue, but X-ports have only been out for like a couple years... Synergy, I believe, has had similar ports for a while, but I wouldn't know about any of that either, except the logic behind removing as much as gets removed. Again - I've had no experience, and haven't heard of specific failures, but even some shops are saying there's a bit of a danger going as far as some do. Again - just wondering.

My Kong X port will probably last me while I own the car. The engine has a mild tune and I don't track the car. For me the cost was the factor and based on my driving habit. Enjoy your ICE vehicle why you can.

We set the blower in-place and found that we have to modify the underside of the hood to clear the lid. This seems to vary from car to car.

Just info. I have used playdoh or clay before to check clearances on some projects, works good. Waiting to see results.

Eforce 2.65 installed, along with +30, 3" upper, Weapon X cooling block and fuel lines. Notch hood tonight. Trunk tank, pump and water lines complete tomorrow. Dyno Wednesday.
My green cats were melted, so we scraped them. Not sure my 103 is enough, and might need a BB Fuel pump

Do you have the standard RF on there?...
That's looking good! I'm excited for you. That trimming is on a panel that isn't that expensive, so it's not a big deal. It kinda' stinks to have to do that, but for what you're getting out of it, it's probably worth it.
