There are no allocations this week since it's Christmas week. Allocations and dealer orders should resume next week.

My dealer said they have an allocation, but cant put the order in until January 14. That's the next day they place orders. Not sure this sounds right.

Uhh...pretty sure they can put in an order anytime that they want...whether or not it gets accepted by GM is the question.

Would be humorous if they had only one guy able to do it who is on vacation until January 14th :-p

my dealer said they have allocation yet here I am sitting at 1100. I just hope january and the new rear park assist pull helps allocation and constraint.

Orders can be placed any time, GM may not pick up the order right away. Find yourself a different dealer.

To the poster who mentioned he’s been sitting at 1100 while the dealer is getting LT1’s, they may be orders the dealer placed before yours coming in. I talked to a dealer the other day that gets more Camaro’s then the one I placed my order with, he straight up told me on allocation that they have a couple of Camaro’s on order and that if I ordered through them it would obviously fall behind those cars and would probably get picked up at the earliest February. I’m my case I don’t know which is better, order through a dealer that gets Camaro’s once every couple of months or one that always has a couple but already has cars on order that my order would fall behind. I’m tempted to place a second order and then cancel the one that doesn’t get picked up first. I don’t mind the wait until spring, I don’t want to wait into the summer.

I know my dealer explicitly placed an order marked as a "sold unit" which puts it at the highest priority - I wonder if some dealers are placing orders as traditional unsold units which isn't exactly expediting their process...

Went through this last January.......When a dealer tells you they have an allocation, give them the saliva test.........My dealer BS me that they had one to get my down payment....2 months went by and nothing.....Was still at 1100 status. Got my money back and bought one from another dealer that was in stock....

oh trust me come spring thats the plan. I'd prefer an order to what I want but the moment I find something close to what I want after the snow is done for the year thats exactly what I'm gonna do.

Only problem with that (at least now for a Zl1 1LE) anything in transit or in stock min $5k over msrp. Some $10k. Stupid.
I’ve called on about 8 in the last two weeks.
I’m in the same boat. Have an order in. If I wait it’s mine at msrp. (Or less depending on the climate)
