never loaned money for anything else other than that..
Congrats to the OP for being set free.

The real issue with the loan is the added price (from interest) of anything you purchase. Imho, many don’t take this into consideration.

I’ve bought a few cars cash or check. That feels pretty good.

I’ve also made that last payment a few times, I think that feels even better!

Congrats!

It's a great feeling. Congrats!
I remember paying off the house in 2019....took almost a week before the reality of it kicked in.

Congrats on the payoff! It sure is nice to get that lien release letter from the bank. I had that nice feeling myself last year when I paid off my 2014 RS before trading it in on my 2014 SS vert. I have a small loan on the SS and look forward to that good feeling again sometime soon. :-)

This is actually not proper thinking. Instead of dropping all that capital on a house or car, I can invest that money into whatever I’m doing and make much more money than what I would’ve spent on the asset plus interest. If you don’t wanna be a slave you have to think like the people that own the slaves.

Congrats on paying off the loan. Loans are neither good or bad, it depends on how you fit it into your total financial plan. If I can find a vehicle loan at 3 percent or take out some of my money that is making 8 percent on investment, I take out the loan.

I have one currently on my truck and know the numbers made sense at the time. Not buying something because you cannot afford it is always a good choice. Using your credit to your advantage is also a good choice.

nope.clear debts is a priority for me. owning my house and everything else helps me sleep better. i do not like anyone having a hold on me financially.
knowing my house cars and bikes are all mine is way more important that investments.
i got a ton of money and dont need any more

Until you don’t pay your property taxes and then the state come and takes it all from you regardless of ownership status… I realize you aren’t in the US so it may not be like this in your country. (I bet it is though) kinda funny to me how even when a house or land is paid off the government still owns it that certain aspect.
