Thumbs up Can't wait

Just can't wait till I get my new 2022 Camaro before they kill a fun car.. So sad that so many people can't see out of it. But then I use my mirrors to look back. beside I'm use to looking forward once I pass somebody.

GM designed the car for a limited audience and they knew it going in. I think they just expected that audience to be bigger. Sadly not the case as the best performing car in the segment is now a distant 3rd in sales.

And the issue has little to do with the mirrors. It's simply a direct vision issue pretty much everywhere in the car with the high belt/slammed roof on almost every car in the Ed Welburn era. Only the trucks were left alone in this regard. Only the over the hood view was improved from the Gen5. Everything else got worse.

Not everyone wants a car that Chip Foose sketched.

I was going to post the same info. How can they say 55 years. There was a good break in there. '02 - 2010? Right

I hate the driver side blind spot but I cope with it, no big deal now. I don't see the big issue with the viz on the front of the car like so many say. It doesn't bother me.

What sucks being 3rd in sales is that the Camaro blows the Mustang away. I don't mean it's just the better performing car, but the quality. better interior, less rattles. Overall better product.

I would take an LT1 over a Premium Mustang GT!

I fully agree and I did indeed take the LT1 over a Mustang GT, but the visibility and claustrophobic (if better materialled and laid-out) interior are definitely not selling points.

My gearhead friends all love the Camaro, but normal friends find it bunker-like.

If Chevrolet only advertises the Camaro they’d sell more. I haven’t seen a Camaro commercial since the 90s lol

There are 100 threads like this…..they start one way, and end up with people whining that the sales are low because of X.
I choose to have mug a beer half full. Lower sales means yours is more unique and worth more. I see a ton of Mustangs and Challengers everyday. Imagine how they feel…. ‘Oh shit, I’ve seen 87 this week exactly like mine.’ Then once a month they see a gen6 and they are like, ‘Whoa, dang, that doesn’t look like a catfish at all….’

55 years since they created the name. Just because you haven’t made your famous award winning Chili since you were allowed to go outside without a mask, doesn’t mean it’s not your famous award winning Chili.

Dude. You drive a LT1 trim and then comment about the materials? The 2SS brings you up to ZL1 level materials.

We were given the option of 1SS and 2SS. Some wanted to de-content even further so the LT1 was born.

Exactly. This kind of complaint is probably why GM held out so long (and probably too long) on offering a more budget friendly V8 trim.
