New to tuning...wanting to learn
I would like to purchase HPT and I guess a credit.
I have a rudimentary knowledge of computer controlled EFI, ignition, etc. Been studying it since it showed up in the eighties My purpose is to look at my car, 2019 SS, through HPT and learn the car and HPT. Not necessarily to do any tuning as I want my warranty to stay intact. My question, will merely connecting HPT to the car and looking around be evident to a GM tech? Would that be enough to void the warranty? Thanks. |

You can hook up and look all you want, scanning, reading, etc. They cannot detect that any more than if you plug in a cheap obd2 reader.
What You cannot do is write to the ECU or modify anything without risking voiding the warranty. If you want to learn, look up ”goat rope garage” on youtube. Watch all the vids in his hp tuners 101 playlist. |
