Probably. And a big percentage of the buyers who get one will try to convince everyone else that this rarity makes their car worth more than the ones that are actually more desirable.

That is close to what I am thinking about trading my Camaro in for. My order would be 1LT with Z51. That is all I need.

Autoblog had an article out this morning saying they heard that the sub 60K price is only going to last for the 2020 model year

That's not surprising.

Source was MotorTrend, said so within the Autoblog article. But really you probably don't need any sources to figure out that sub-60k price is likely only going to be a 1 year thing. Each model year, prices go up for nearly every car (thanks, inflation), and its never $4 or less. So yeah, the 2021s are going to start somewhere above 60 grand. But, weirdly, in a few years the base price of a new Corvette could be below 60 again after incentives are figured in ... even if the MSRP has gone up by a few thousand.

Car pricing is weird.

When C4 first launched, a very big deal was made about the fact that it was going to launch under $20k (still a lot for a car in 1984). The base price was $19,995. Ironically, my roommate and I each ordered one on the same day. He ordered his white, red interior, bone stock, no options. The $19,995 price included cloth seats, am-fm radio, manual transmission, and roll-up windows. He never got it. It kept getting pushed back in the order queue. He eventually cancelled it and ordered the same car with power windows and it came in in less than a month.

Yep. I kind of just glanced over the article. The vibe I got from it was GM wanted to prove everyone wrong that thought a C8 would be so pricey so they targeted the sub 60K price even if its for one year only.

Either way, amazing price for the car

I've never seen one with roll up windows. Wonder if any of those actually made it to production.

If this is correct, GM appears to be going ALL IN!

I'll be waiting!

Which leaves the LT5 to trickle down to the Camaro?
