I’m very interested to see how this plays out.
My guess is the Z51 that gets you the sub 3 second car is mid $60s. Grand Sport, likely the car that gets you the added coolers for full track performance, mid $70s or even $80k. Blackwing based TT? At least Mid 90s. ZR1 replacement? $150? AWD will be a wild card as well. Certainly the ceiling is much higher and this will likely lead to completely different discussions. Likely the Corvette when compared to Porsche will no longer simply be the “better value” and can simply be the “better car”. And would you ever have imagined a comparo article of Corvette vs Lambo or McClaren or even Ford GT? Can’t wait

^Nicely done pictures and nice car choices.
I’m intrigued by the C8. I might consider a TT model if the wide-body has the look of some of the new renderings. I’ll hold on to my C7 GS as I love the look and it’s performance.

If you saw it, what did you think of Robin Liddell’s last lap charge in his Camaro in the most recent IMSA Michelin Pilot Series?

Amazing last lap drive by Robin!!! The pass on the kink, then the outside - then good fortune at the line with his competitor lifted before the race was over! That is why they race to the checker.
New Corvette - built one - put in to reserve one - dealer called said they are getting 21 allocations by 1st quarter of 2020 - first five were already spoken for - will call me when my place in line comes up. May wait for ZO6 variant - but love the new look and what it offers for the money! Keep the Z and add Corvette to the fleet! Who knows maybe it can even be a DD. |

^ Nice! I do like the C8 Stingray, but I would have to go wide-body. It’ll be a wait, but patience is a virtue.

I’m surprised no one has commented on the “Track Worthy” GT500 weighing 4,225 lbs. it supposed to be a ZL1/1LE competitor??
It weighs almost as much as a Challenger.

I was surprised that nobody had made a thread, so I made one last night in Gen Auto. Called it a clydesdale.
