If not a 1LE, I think I could live with the orange, but I wasn't crazy about the color combo with the black hood wrap, mirrors, wheels, etc. I initially ordered a white car then switched to Satin Steel. My preference is something closer to Silver Ice Metallic . |

I have a ZL1 on order in Riverside Blue, but the dealer I ordered it from had a no option SS 1LE come in. I grabbed it this past weekend and have to say that the white/black combo goes well. I was up in the air originally, but once I saw it, I was completely happy with the choice. With that said, Riverside Blue is my ultimate choice. It will be traded in once my Z shows up.

My grandsons visited yesterday, ages 9 & 7. They love to ride in my silver 79 L48 vette and my college son's Garnet Red 17 Camaro RS (only 20K miles). Youngest asked my son why he got red and said don't you know cops will get you? During his ride, he asked could we go 100mph and when I said no, replied then, how about 80? Loved to watch the tach rise & fall on both cars when kicking them down. Wanted me to put the vette on 7 grand. He wants a Lamborghini Huracan btw. Great kids!

I think your color situation is similar to mine, in that it’s grayscale vs color, I was debating between gray and red. I went with gray because I was afraid of sticking out too much. Regretted it after a few months, and then went a totally different direction and wrapped my car with Avery intense blue (similar to rapid blue). So glad I did it! There’s too much grayscale out there, and color, almost any color is better. Get orange!
I would add, wrapping the car in your color choice on top of black (since mistakes are less obvious) is a route to go as well. |

My LT1 was black… my truck is black. I also will never own another black vehicle.

The Camaro looks great in Summit White. IMHO, Vivid Orange just looks better.

Vivid Orange isn't quite as beautiful as crush Orange, but it is far more interesting than white.
Now go white and get some classic stripes down it....
