NAV-TV NTV-KIT629

I could throw out that I am a mecp master technician and how many years of experience I have installing similar products but this is a literal plug-and-play install. No install splicing required if you are just adding a front camera. They have tried to shoot me two additional units but for some reason UPS has lost both units. I'm getting very frustrated with them. I have been doing this for several months now.
Is the NAV-TV NTV-KIT629 the unit you are talking about? If so, did you have any further success / comments? I have had the kit for a while now & am eager to install it in my 2017 ZL1 with NAV. I purchased the actual camera used on the rear of a 2017 ZL1, but that 5 wire / pin connector does not have a mate on the NAV-TV unit. So I purchased a VEIPAO camera on eBay. It has an RCA video cable & a power cable. i thought I would put a switch between the power source & the camera. I am uncertain of exactly where the HMI module is located in the dashboard. ANY HELP WOULD TRULLY BE APPRECIATED.

I'm truly sorry to hear that - had such high hopes... Thanks for the reply. Do you know of any alternatives that hook into the existing dash mounted screen?

Only one that does it with OEM parts and that's Gen 5's kit.

I looked into the Gen5DIY guys kit. They use a PAC module. (I sell PAC) I gave them a call and they said that they don't have anything for this application yet.

Its the same price at the guys at Gen5DIY but you don't have to send in your radio. I don't like having my car down to send my unit in. Thoughts?
Hi first off we dont sell any PAC module's, what we do is reprogram your HMI, ones that is done we add an icon to the screen that adds the front camera to your car, is on our site or you can PM us, we have done them on camaros and more cars and the best part is its done on the GM HMI so it will work.

I looked at your Front Camera kit for my 2012 2SS. It seemed to have some quirks to it back then. I do not see it in the Gen6 part of your web site. Looks like it is available for 2010-2015 only. Is it available or in the works for a 2017 ZL1? I already have the Nav option & rear camera on my MyLink unit.

Did anyone come up with a solid solution for this? I am paranoid about slamming my splitter into the curb every time I park!!!
I am also surprised this isn't simpler considering the Vette comes with one from factory!!!

I joined this forum when I was shopping for a new vehicle. Decided on a Vette over a Camaro. I bought a 1LT that doesn't have a front camera and quickly found I had to rectify that. I bought the Navtool Video-in-motion and it works really well. The only feature it doesn't have that I would like is auto display of the front camera when moving forward at speeds less than 5mph.

They make the same interface for the Camaro. If your Camaro is newer than the years listed ask them if the interface will work. Their web site can sometimes be a little out of date.

Good info. Any quirks with it? Could you post a video of it in action?

No quirks. It comes on automatically if you're in reverse and then go into drive. It then stays on for about 10 seconds. You can turn it on any time by pressing the back button on the HU twice. Sorry, no videos. My C7 is out for wrapping and won't be back for a while.

There is a way to do 2 front cameras. I haven't tried it but there's no reason it wouldn't work. I may go to duals at sometime in the future. It does require another piece of electronics.

The Navtool device also allows you to do side cameras and rear, though for most people they'll just stay with the OEM rear.
