Smile Soler Ported Throttle Body - Predictable

I would like to share with you my feelings about the Soler Ported Throttle Body. I have had many Manual transmission cars over the years. I prefer to control the engine myself even though I am not as fast as the new auto cars. My problem was a lack of response from the throttle on my 19 SS2 M6. Some times it would bog off idle. Some times it would hesitate. Etc. I talked to people in the industry ,at very good tuners and they all said that's the way the newer throttle by wire accelerator pedals are period. Well investigating and digging found the above product. It is on U-Tube and elsewhere. I bought one and installed it per their instructions. It eliminated the "bog" and made the car responsive to me not the ecm trying to close the TB. It is dynamite. It did not require a new tune. It is plug and play. It is great and I highly recommend.

I bought a Soler Performance TB a few months ago, and agree with what you said. Really makes a nice difference in the total driving experience

The feel you get from a good ported throttle body is better than a throttle controller in my opinion. You're talking electrical vs mechanical, and it just feels better on these cars

I wish I can have the same results as the vast majority of you. I’ve tried 2 different ported TB’s from 2 of the best in the business but my car always rejects them for some reason. After 2 tries with one a 4 tries with another I finally decided to replace the MAF sensor just for the heck of it.

My problem was no matter how the TB is ported I’d have rough idle, hesitation off idle, non linear throttle response, and surging at 2k rpm at steady light throttle. The MAF fixed all but the surging problem. So I’m still left with a TB that has somewhat poor drive ability. Throttle response is good now just a little wonky around 2k.

I put the stock TB back in and tried Soler’s controller. I’m very pleased with the way the controller smoothed everything out. Well done Soler! I just wish I can get a ported one to work without surging. I even tried a dyno tune but he couldn’t get rid of the surge. Frustrating!

If anyone has an idea of what’s going on please advise!

I use a Tony Mamo ported throttle body and have been very happy with it.

if you think the Soler Performance throttle body works good, you need to add their throttle controller, both of them together work very well.

I installed mine last week and only have a few miles on it, but I was highly impressed by the low end response. I would also recommend.

Mine is great when the car is warmed up. Driving right after start up is a hesitating mess.
