Tire Pressure for drag racing

Hi all,

I'm taking my 16' SS to the LVMS Midnight Mayhem for the first time tomorrow. I'm running stock Goodyear ROF Summer tires with decent tread. They lose traction around town at stop lights if I get into it too much. I'm looking for recommendations on what to decrease the tire pressure to while I am racing at the track. Suggestions are much appreciated.

If your car is stock, maybe 26psi. Don’t do a burnout. Just spin them to clean them off and then line up.

Thanks for the tip. I lowered them to 30 and they hooked up really well. It was 103 degrees at race time but I ran a 13.3 @109 mph bone stock.
