Shops to use in the Houston area

Hey everyone

From all the research I've done, I have narrowed it down to 2 shops. J-Rod and Powerfab in spring.

Any additional info about each would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You've done your research. Both great shops.

J-Rod uses Sorian Tuning which gets my nod but you can't go wrong either way.

What mods are you planning on?

I want to be somewhere around 600 wheel hp

Ive asked both shops for estimates on a Whipple, kooks long tubes and a Rotofab with each shops tuner.

I took a tour of powerfab yesterday and the shop was clean and organized. Its also less than 5 miles from my house.

Being close is super handy and was going to be my next question. Tell Jerome I said Hi and he better fix you up right. I've been in J-Rods camp since the 5th Gen came out, but also followed PF very closely since they were Camaro Club sponsors and I think still are.

Be sure and post up a build thread and we'll check out your results. 600's is a great spot for these cars and a lot of fun.

I use Cartender. Jared has a small shop but he's the best mechanic I've ever used. He's installed my full exhaust, torque converter, DSX flex fuel setup, ported intake manifold. Plus he's done all the repairs on my truck. Never a single issue. I think he has Pat G do the tuning remotely with him but I'm not positive on that.

I definitely should visit this place. I've heard a lot about it.
