Vmax TB

I got a Vmax TB today really impressed with the improvement in throttle response its awesome. Plus the car idles smoother and doesn't hesitate on acceleration like it used to. Great mod worth every penny!!!

Properly ported TBs give power gains with the response gain.

I have a Bo White TB and it made a noticeable improvement in my throttle response! Added VTC and like it too. But had to take the VTC off. I started throwing codes and going into limp mode. Been fine since removing it. Going to put it back on and reprogram it. Hope that fixes it. Won't go back to the original TB.

How much power are we talking about? I'm thinking about having mine done, but read some threads that the only improvement was throttle response. I already have the VTC for that.

I have cai with scoop, LT headers and getting a cam installed at the end of the month so I'd like to get it ported before the car goes in for the cam install and tune. How long would it take to get it ported?

Also, does anybody know offhand what the Vmax TB diameter is? My understanding is it's only 95mm, whereas the Bo White is 102mm? That seems like quite a difference. I was going to go Bo, but he wasn't taking orders when I was looking to buy.

Both are 90mm... Both are porting the stock 90mm TB, neither are BORING it out to a bigger size like 95/102, etc.

If you're hung up on big numbers, you'll have to go with a BBK or a Nick William's TB.
