Soundwise, what Camaro would compare to the Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang?
Soundwise, what Camaro would compare to the Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang? My neighbor bought the 2010 Shelby GT500 last year and it sounds like a thunderstorm or a Transformer is tearing through our house when he starts it up and leaves. Could a 2SS be loud enough to wake the *&^$%! out of them when I pull up at 2 in the morning?

YES.....my buddies SS is like that.....he doesn't start it up in the early morning unless he HAS TO, otherwise he can/will wake up the nieghbors.

Only if there is an after market exhaust will it wake the dead........ That's the first thing I did to mine was to put on headers and exhaust.

His Shelby has to be modded if it's that loud, mine was quiet until the aftermarket exhaust went on.

When he starts it up, it is very, very loud! I don't think he had it modified. I wouldn't say I would buy a loud Camaro just to get back at him but if I happen to wake him up... so be it.
