Here in Texas, you can obtain a single estimate from the insurance's authorized repair center or three general quotes. Once you have performed this, you may legally force the insurance company to pay you directly. There are other consequences for doing this however, hidden damage will likely not covered, rental car extension issues, parts and installation guarantees to say the least, can all go out the window as well.

If you want to be "made whole" and not deal with it, let the dealer charge whatever they want. Texas (as most states) will not compensate for loss of value due to a wreck however. If you have a solid inside connection to the auto repair industry, I would take the $10k and fix it yourself.
