Went with Solo's, no codes been in for 2 months and about 1k miles. Put shorties in at the same time. Very happy with the sound and increase in performance.

Will cats alone make the stock exhaust sound better?
Also I am now to cats, what are extenders? |

Go solo just do it. Only thing better is headers but then the tune factor comes into play.

I went Solo HF before I got headers. Had them on the car for like 8 mths. Def noticed an improvement in sound, torque and overall power. I did not have a CEL at all. I highly recommend the Solo's. You might be able to get a better price on them through Juiced Motorsports eBay storefront (Make an Offer). Thats what I did. Saved $$

I only see one type of JBA on your site for the 5th gen Camaro - does it work with both LS3 and L99?

These look pretty easy to do with the exception of removing the O2 sensors. Is this really hard, is there a trick to it?
Also, how will these impact AFM? |

They're easy to do.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=229346 I didn't strip my extenders. A 7/8" open face wrench works just as well as the O2 socket remover. It just depends on whether or not they were cross-threaded at the factory. You might get codes with either set. Do yourself a favor and pick up an ELM327 and the Torque app. Then you can clear them as they come up, as well as monitor your engine through the OBDII port.

Removing the O2 sensors on mine was easy, 7/8 wrench and gentle pressure, not cross threaded. Others have had problems with being cross threaded from the factory.
Drivers side lined up perfectly, passenger side needed a little help getting it to line up. No biggie. Running with the stock mufflers, sounds good for my tastes. Just enough to know that it's not stock, without sounding like thunder coming down the road!

If you get the SOLO cats, you will be fine with the extenders they provide... If you go with some other brand, I would recommend the Vibrant extenders or something similar as it's most likely only a matter of time with normal extenders, however some DO get lucky... Somehow... |

I've had the JBA's for about a year. No extenders, no codes. Be carefull when you take the O2's out. If you rock it back and forth and gently go a bit farther each time they will come out. Put some anti-seize on them. The clips that hold the O2 wiring in place is a b*tch.
