NEW 18" APEX WHEELS on my 1LE

Wheel Spec:
Front: Apex SM-10 18's 10.5 et22 with a 8mm spacer upfront with hub centric rings
Back: Apex SM-10 18's 10.5 et22 with hub centric ring

Tires:
Front and Back: Michelin Cup 2 Track Connect 295/30r18

You can also find more photos on my instagram @Destoryer_1LE
https://www.instagram.com/destroyer_1le/

I just realized I made a mistake in the video by saying 8mm hub centric spacer when its 12mm hub centric Spacer. When I say 3mm I really mean 5mm non hub centric spacer. Sorry for the mistake.

I put together a little video talking about the spec and fitment.

I can't believe I just realized Ive been saying the wrong sizes. I meant to say 12mm hub centric spacers and 5mm non hub centric spacers.

Heres a link to the ones that I'm using:

I was going to machine a centric spacer that would adapt/convert from GM size to BMW centric sizes.

I thought about doing that, however it would be way too expensive to do it myself.Like 2-3 months back I got bored and modeled a set in CAD. If I was a machinist or had a friend with a shop that has a CNC machine I would have had them made and make them available to everyone.

Soon I will be getting a second set so I can run Michelin Slicks.

5mm up front. I have camber plates though, allows me to get the strut out of the way to run that small of a spacer.

Perhaps you mean 'camber bolts'? With plates, the tire to strut clearances are fixed.

No, camber plates. With 18” the wheel to strut clearance is still not enough due to the shape of the strut, so i still have to run a 5mm spacer with 18” wheels. With 19” and 20 inch wheels you’re right, it totally fixes the clearance.

Camber plates won't fix strut inclination relative to the wheel; that's fixed as long as you're not using the Camaro's OE camber adjustment down at the knuckle.

But yes, strut-side clearances get tighter as wheel diameter gets smaller (I think it's by about 3mm per inch of wheel diameter change).

With the camber plates you can get the camber you want without maxing the camber at the knuckle. You can set the knuckle back to ~0*° which gains your clearance.
