VIDEO SS1LE - Porsche 718 GT4

They say that a SS1LE can not be faster then a GT4 Porsche, well here are two stock cars at Sebring. This is the full session, from Porsches worst nightmare.

I believe that with all things being equal the GT4 is capable of faster lap times. Good driving from you in the video though.

Thank you, but I think the bumps, were not good for the Porsche. It seems to be the place he lost the most time. On a smooth fast track, I think he would have taken me, but I do not give up without a fight.

Looks like you're running ~2:25-2:27’s. Thats fast, but Cayman GT4 is faster.

Cayman GT4 benchmarks more closely with ZLE. We’ve got one in our run group, he ran 2:23’s all day at Sebring with a PB of 2:21 earlier this year on 200TW street tires.

Um.. at which track? LL is just one example, but the ZLE was 5s faster.

They aren’t really in the same ballpark.

Agree, the GT4 is closer to the SS 1LE, the ZLE should be much quicker then the Gt4

Every thing is stock except brakes and tires. I put on Rs to equal all the other high performance cars that run 100 tread ware, Porsches and C8s etc…
I explained this in the video

Then it's simply NOT stock man... At a track like Sebring you're talking 2-3sec a lap difference (maybe more) with the G3Rs vs. the stock G3s. A "stock" car means stock GY G3s and stock pads.

First of all, stock brakes will not last a day, at Sebring the way I drive. It would be dangerous and stupid

Almost all the cars in advanced class run track tires, so I just wanted to be on equal ground. The GT4 was also on track tires, I spoke to him after the session. You criticize a lot, but do not seem to know what you are talking about

Almost all of the cars that run in advanced, run track tires, including that Porsche. I just wanted to be on even ground with them.

My tires are 20in, will not fit you ZLE

If the bumps slowed him down it was the driver and not the car. You were able to keep up with him because you were clearly pushing your car harder than he was. Which is good on you.

As good as the SS 1LE is, Porsche chassis and suspension design is superior without a doubt. It will soak up the bumps better than the Camaro. I've driven both on track extensively. The GT4 is the better track car all around.

Thank you for your opinion, but I have been contacted by many GT4 owners, and they all admit that, the GT4 in stock form are horrible over bumps. They are so bad that many GT4 owners put aftermarket shocks on.
I think the GT4 is an amazing car, but I did see their shortcomings over the bumps
On a flat track like Watkins glen, the car would definitely walk from me.
