Rear legroom - what's that? When I test drove a 2SS the other day, I adjusted the seat to a comfortable driving position. After the drive, I tilted the seatback forward and there was (maybe) three inches between the back of the driver's seat and the front edge of the back seat.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone I can't wait for everyone else to get their cars! Everyone needs to experience their SS. It's perfect.

That was my experience as well. When I pointed it out, I got a back lash of "I can get both kids in the back, it's fine". So if you are average height, about 5' 8", it seems you can get the seat far enough forward. 6'? Nope.

This is an awesome car, guys. But there is a whole lot of rationalization going on regarding rear seat room, trunk volume and access and rear visibility.

But hey, hopefully I'm in a very small minority on the importance of these things.

Again, though, to the OP, congratulations! Beautiful car.

The back is not for adults, that is obvious. I will be using mine for my 2 kids once in a while, they fit fine, tested it already...but if you are buying this car to act as a family car or to try and fit 4 adults in, obviously that is not the case. Just my 2 cents and what I am planning.

Rear seats on both the Mustang and Camaro suck. Really pointless to argue about.

But is it ok that in a jam you can't fit 4 adults? I've done that in a Gen5. Had several occasions were it was the easy car for a short trip to dinner and it was passable.

This has been all but eliminated in the Gen6. Agree it's not worth arguing about, but it is a "feature" or capability of the car that was diminished in the Gen6.

I can tell you that my 13 Mustang for 4 adults is bad and the 15 Mustang is terrible. That's what gets me. I understand stating the Mustang has better visibility and more trunk space, but rear seat comfort for an adult is not there.

The roofline in back is way too low and a person has to tilt their head sideways.. If they can get in the back. Front occupant needs to move forward to a ridiculously uncomfortable position and the person behind them will have to wrap legs around the seat to the point where the knees are sticking out around it.

So really, my issue is the claim that the Mustang is so much better in the back. If you want to compare it to 5th gen Camaro, fine. My buddy has a 2015 and we shake our heads when people on Mustang forum keep on stating how comfortable it is for 4 adults. People in the back must not have legs.

Sell the kids and take the money and buy a fully optioned Camaro. Just a thought....

I have taken my 6'2 son 290 miles and back in the rear seat of my 13 Camaro. It wasn't optimal but it worked. This is not happening in the 16! People do consider these things and to say they don't is naīve. I still love the 16!!!
