Rusting rear rotor hats on new ZL1

Hello, I recently posted some information about my new Camaro ZL1 with less then 1,100 miles on it having a problem with the rear rotor hats rusting. I'm going to take it in to a dealer soon and hope that there is something they can do about it. I have already contacted GM about this problem. Does anyone know of a very good replacement rear rotor for the ZL1 that will not rust. It's embarrassing to pay $62,000 and have this problem, especially being I enter my car in shows. This is my fifth new generation 5 Camaro and the only one that I've had this problem with.

ZL1 rear rotor replacement

Yes, but I'm trying to get ideas on rear rotor replacements that are of a better quality that hopeful won't rust on the hat area.

DBA is a good aftermarket brand of rotors that worked well on my Subaru STi.
They also never rusted.

What's up? You are showing an SS rotor and caliper. Do you own two Camaros?

One thing you could do is bead blast the hat and coat it with an anti-rust product. It's an automotive product that will prevent your concern. If your Chevrolet dealer replaces your rotor, I would advise applying anti-rust to your new rotor.

Does it make a difference if it's a Z or SS? Rotor rust is the same last time I checked.

Not everyone knows what is meant by a 'rotor hat'. He was simply displaying what part of the wheel/rotor we were talking about.

yes those shown would be from an SS or so and not the ZL1, but it still shows that we're talking about the center portion of the rotors.

is that even a big deal? just surface rust on an area that will hold up to the rust far longer than the life of the rotor right?

Thx for the pic, mine started rust on the rear wheels during winter storage. I was planning on finding a liquid rust removal fluid (any suggestions?), and then apply some sealer.
