What is the recommended wheel cleaner?

Since the search isn't working right now, what is the recommended wheel cleaner for the 1LE wheels? Need to clean the car up...had a long drive from SD to home.

I prefer Sonax Full Effect @ full strength if you haven't cleaned them in a while and want to get embedded brake dust out.

If regular maintenance, I like P&S brake buster in a foaming sprayer diluted 10:1 with distilled or filtered water (don't want to clog the foamer).

a very mild, ph balanced soap.

ceramic coat the wheels and calipers. they will look new, every time for years to come, with minimal effort and no special attention.

Yeah, I just ceramic coated my new wheels on my Solstice and they're so easy to take car of...I will do that on this one now.

I haven't found one that I'd call superior or the best, I like the Meguiars wheel brightener that you dilute it down with water. But then I'm always brushing and getting in there with different brushes and agitating the cleaner so as far as a "hose off" cleaner, never seen one yet that would handle 1LE with Brembo pads level dust. This is an acidic type cleaner that I dilute about 50/50 and treat it as a single use as it kills a spray bottle pump when left in the bottle. it dilutes at up to 4:1 so you can vary the strength.

This. I use a separate bucket of soap and water when I do mine.

I also use this and it works great.

This is my POV, too. I've tried a lot of different brands over the years and now use Meguiars because it's priced well and easy to buy locally or online.

Thanks for the input guys. I wasn't sure what to use because my Scat's weren't clear coated and I had to be very careful with them. They were Matte without any protective coating (which explains why the inside of the wheel rusted it left wet). Wasn't sure what to use on the Camaros until I really cleaned one up and realized that it does have a protective coating over the paint!
