Current Order Time to Delivery?

Does anyone know how long it currently takes from Order to Delivery? I'm getting ready to order a 2SS and hoping to get it delivered late April or early May.

I've also been hearing about a Micro Chip shortage affecting the car market, wondering if Camaro production is affected.

Hey Dis,

Great question because it's exactly what's on my mind.
I've previously owned a 2010 SS and a 2016 SS.

Now my attention is leaning to order a 2021 LT1 built to my specs.
Spring will be here before you know.

I ordered mine on Jan 16. Dealers (at least this dealer) are only allowed to place one big order a month, so everything they queue up goes in at the first of the month (today for me). And i was quoted about the end of march\beginning of april.

so 8-12 weeks would be a pretty good bet i suppose

if your looking for late april, i would get the order in this month so its ready to go when they do their dump to GM.

I just ordered an LT1 this past Saturday, the dealer told me I am looking at end of March beginning of April if that helps.

LT1
MN6
NPP exhaust
Bose 8" infotainment
Satin Black Appearance package
Dual Spoke rims

Thats it.

I ordered my 2SS back on 11/11/20. The car was built by 12/8/20, and it's been sitting in Lansing since then. Lots of promises about delivery, but almost 8 weeks after it was built....I'm still waiting to get it.

My dealer did inform me they did not have any restrictions on ordering and anticipates 8 weeks.

That is one of my worries.

I’m in Detroit and would be willing to drive the short distance to Lansing to pick it up.

Dealers can place orders once a week, Tuesdays I think. They need to have an allocation to order a Camaro at that time or the order will not move forward and be picked up for production. If you're in Detroit, I would contact Joe P at James Martin Chevy. He's the one who gives us all the info on this forum about ordering and about all the steps in the process.

Built first week of Feb
Taken to Toledo railyard last week by truck (from Lansing)
Loaded onto a train for transport yesterday to Salt Lake City (train still being loaded and hadn't left yet as of this morning)
Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the first week of March - but not sure on actual delivery date yet.

Hey guys, don't go just by build time and delivery. Some of these are being sent to Roush (mine has been there since 1/22) and some are then being sent to a Flint Plant. No end in sight. Be aware.

Went to my local dealer about ordering. They said next month can order a 22. They were not sure they can get a 21 order in for me.
