ZL1 Plugs in Boosted SS?
What do you guys think about putting the ACDelco 41-128’s in?
I have exhausted all my options on my Procharged ‘19. With the stock SS plugs ACDelco 41-103 (I think) i was getting spark knock at like 5k at WOT in 4 gear and up. So I changed over to the ltr7’s and i’m getting a massive amount of misfires. It starts cutting out at the top of a gear when WOT when doing a roll. I had them gapped at .025, then gapped them to .040 per JRE recommendations and i just cannot get rid of the misfires. So i just ordered some ACDelco 41-128’s which go in the ZL1’s and i’m leaving them at the stock .030 gap. |

Sounds like Your in over Your Head, Your TUNER should be able to ajust mixture and Timing to get You back on Track. Plugs are NOT Your only Problem!!!!

Either your tuner or the Shop that installed the blower. Theres more than just bolting on parts these days, These engines are VERY fussy when it comes to timing and mixture when you add HP parts to them! Agood tuner can set you straight, Its not cheap, BUT well worth the cost.

I'm about to install Brisk Silver racing into my boosted LT1. Will gap at .035 based on advice. Hopefully these are gonna suit, but reports I've had are all good.

Thats always a possibility, but i’m fairly gentle with spark plugs. regardless of the electrode. and the spark plugs still fired, just inconsistent. i feel like a broken plug wouldn’t fire at all. would it? i’m personally convinced that it’s tuning at this point

Don't forget to check the plug wires also. I had something like that a couple years ago, switched plugs and regapped them correctly and we finally found it on the dyno. Bad plug wire that just had a little break in it.

i had to get rid of the stock wires. they were way to difficult to tell if they were connected properly in my opinion. i’m running the taylor wires now and they seem to sit on the plug and on the coil pretty well
