2LT means more "loaded" with certain options. My 2017 was a 2 LT RS. the 2LT included leather, more "way" power seats- driver and passenger, sun roof, Bose stereo and a sun roof. The sun roof may have been an extra on top of that, not sure.

The only thing I really understand is that SS means you get a V8.
Does RS mean you get a V6? Sounds like LT and LS don't relate to any particular engine. The Mustang approach is a lot easier to understand where the trim levels basically correspond with the engine (V6, EcoBoost, or GT) and within each trim level you can get base or premium. |

No RS is 4 or 6. 1le was only thing that a 4 couldnt get that 6 had, until 19
