Cheapest mod to increase exhaust volume!

Thought I'd pass on a tip I discovered by chance for those who want a louder sounding exhaust without spending any money.......

I'll be tracking my 1LE this year and was trying to fit my track wheels inside the car while I drive the daily wheels to/from the track. In order to fit three tires in the back seat area (the other goes in the trunk), I had to remove the rear seat.

I'd heard others mention that folding down the rear seatback improves your ability to hear the exhaust, and have confirmed this is indeed the case. However, when you also remove the seat cushion, it turns out the exhaust goes up at least another notch!!

If there's a negative, it seems that road noise (tire, and oddly the sound of wind?) also seem to increase. So maybe not for everyone, but perhaps worth a try.

there's another mod like this we use to increase power output.

go on a diet. eating only 3 peas per day will make your camero way faster.

I would say after you folded the seat down, power the windows down, and turn off the stereo, take the air filter out, remove F51 fuse for those with NPP, keep it in track mode, remove the foam in the engine sound tube, remove the cushion under the intake manifold, and WOT.

Humour BTW, but if you actually did those things it would be louder and not cost u a dime.
