Kenne Bell Boost A Pump
So I've searched here and online and can't seem to get an answer to my questions on this booster.
I see some of his boosters come with a voltage dial and some dont. Is the dial version discontinued? I've also read that it can be wired with the FPCM or stand alone. What's the difference on function? This is for my ZL1 stock pump Thanks guys |

I also don't see hardly any info online for Camaro and especially ZL1's. All Mustang Cobras and such. Maybe our cars don't need boosted?

I believe the dial one is for naturally aspirated vehicles. Its not a direct plug and play like it is for the fords. You have to splice it in.

Thanks, I did see that the Fords had a plug in setup. I'm cool with wiring it by soldering and splice so that's fine. I'm just not positive on the install. I like to know exactly how something works and assembles before tearing apart my car. I'll be tuning it with HPT and can access the FPCM if needed. At this point I'm not positive I need it when I add the 10% lower to my 2.5" upper but it couldn't hurt. I'm assuming it would run without, but I rather modulate the pump and keep the pressure up for better atomization than the alternative. I haven't logged my fuel pressure at WOT because the car is parked until Spring.

A lot of us have the JMS bap that ties into the pedal. Pretty easy setup.

The Kenne Bell and JMS are similar in that they both can be triggered by boost or voltage. The JMS has a plug and play harness that goes in to the gas pedal which is .5volts. You configure the JMS BAP to ramp up the targeted voltage you desire to get the Fuel pump to maintain the fuel pressure as the FPCM will be erratic. The target is 16 volts, and my ramp starts at around 1/3 of the peddle. I know Jannetty likes to get the voltage as close to the source as possible so he recommends going in through the back seat and right down to the pump. I like many others I put in line with the FPCM as shown in the attached picture. I like this method because if the BAP fails (shorts) I can just pull the connector fuse and put the 10AMP stored in the glove box back in. The only thing not shown in this pic is I added a small black plastic tie to keep the fuse from coming out of the block when I track it. |

Thanks,
I'm seeing 2 different models for the 2014 ZL1 on their website. both seem to be pedal operated. 2000gm and 2000gmp...not sure the difference. The website is vague. Maybe the pics are generic and the gmp is the pedal operated? |

I also have the JMS and it works great. Pretty easy install overall. The plug-n-play to the pedal is super nice. Splicing into the FPCM is not difficult as seen above.
This is the model I got from JRE and recommended by Ted himself: https://jannettyracing.com/collectio...oltage-booster |
