Buying a ZLE
Prices are all over the place for new or used. Im looking at all the cars listed in the US. Kbb says used under 5k miles is worth between 54-58k yet most want 60+. The lowest i've seen new is 61 and a plenty in the below 65k range. Do you guys think there is any benefit to buying used when the price difference is less than 5k? I want to offer the used guys in the 58 range 52ish and see what happens. I've heard the new 2018 will really drop in January so maybe I'll wait. Just looking for info from experienced buyers on the next way to go about it. Thanks in advance.

People are forgetting this car cost 10k over a standard ZL1.
if you already have an idea where you want to be cost wise you should totally send them the offer so you can see where they come back at. Worst case is they say no or come back out of your price range. Owning one of these cars I will warn you that yous should drive it before you buy if given the chance. the car is rewarding on good roads; but handles really rough on bad roads - especially cracked / uneven concrete freeways.

Im going to test 1 out asap. My lar car was a 11 gt500 on eibach coilovers that road rough but until I drove the zle I can't compare. The car will get tracked 3 to 4 times a year but only driven when I'm home which is not a lot. #truckerlife

The cheapest ZLE I've seen for sale is around $57k. You are not going to find one in good shape for less than that (used).
Right now, (new) you are looking at about $65k. The dealers do not seem to interested in moving the 18's, even with the 19's hitting the lots and not selling either. The ZLE is not limited edition, there is not a few made each year. I truly believe the dealers are really playing off the aggressive looks, when the reality is it is a niche vehicle for a niche buyer. If you're not in hurry, you will stand to save a lot early next year. |

I saw one on cargurus for $54xxx. It was an 18 with almost 14k miles, and it didn’t have PDR.

You may get a new ZL1 for $58k, But I highly doubt a dealer is going to sell a new ZLE for $58k. There just isn’t any incentives on these cars right now.
