GM EasyCare TireCare Dealership Warranty

What are your experiences with it. I just went in for a nail, and was told the dealership i went to will not honor the tirecare because it is a different dealership ad and they do not participate in. Furthermore any new tires I get will not be under the coverage.

My understanding is that if I get a flat, i go to the Original dealer or nearest authorized service provider ( apparently not any chevy dealership) and the coverage is based on vehicle millage or age, in my case until 2025 or 105k miles and not the original set of tires.

Is the closest dealership being lame, did I get swindled for a grand to cover tires that are only good for 15k miles, or is my experience an exception to others with GM EasyCare?
