Radiator Fan Replacement

Does anyone have any info on how to change a Radiator fan assembly on a 2016 2 SS. It is so different from the Gen 5's. Can't seem to find any videos or info on this procedure. I see two push pin tabs on the bottom of the new AC Delco fan assembly. Do you have to remove a hose on the drivers side just to pull fan assembly up. Do you have to remove the splash guard on the bottom of car ? Any info will be appreciated.

1. Remove air cleaner assembly
2. Remove radiator inlet hose (from top of radiator)
3. Remove transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (from radiator)
4. Remove 2 fan shroud bolts (top backside of fan)
5. Unclip the aux radiator inlet hose from fan (2 push fasteners)
6. Unclip radiator outlet hose from fan (1 push fastener)
7. Disconnect electrical connector
8. Remove 3 push pins (going into top of fan shroud)
9. Remove aux radiator inlet hose
10. Remove 3 fan shroud bolts (bottom backside of fan)
11. Unclip the transmission inlet and outlet pipe from fan shroud
12. Remove fan

As always, you may be able to get away with less steps, if you're able to reposition hoses out of the way instead of completely removing them.

yes. I used my extended warranty for this (over 1k$) and this alone paid for the extended warranty.

Order the part on Rockauto (half the price the dealer charges), take the car and the part to the dealer and pick it up in a few hours. 2016 1SS... fan went out right after warranty expired.

Granted, I have a dealer 30 mins away that I actually trust... (I drive right past two other chevy dealers on my way there). They won't "Warranty the part" if I bring it in from outside, but I don't mind.

Radiator Fan doesn't turn on, and the car will run hot or overheat. (Coolant temp will climb, and you'll get a notification on dash that it's too hot...)

This happened to me on a cool 50 degree day, but I was iddling in one place for over 20 mins. That was long enough that it wanted to run the fan to cool it off. Luckily, I was able to "Get out of line" and go drive at normal speed as soon as the warning popped up and the temps dropped to normal immediately.

You (typically) need to replace the whole assembly. GM Part number 23332215.

It's a large part, comes in a 32" x 30" x 5" box.

didn't 2016's have a recall back in the day about the radiator fan connector allowing water to leak in when being washed or in heavy rain and this corrodes/shorts out the connector causing this problem?
