If there was, I wasn't notified of an official recall. Maybe a TSB? If anyone finds a document on that, please post it here!

Well, i know 100% for sure there was, the question was more of a rhetorical

there was the fan plug (you would see corrosion on the contacts or signs of melting if it had the issue) recall

and there was the rear seatbelt thing. The fan thing was definitely a recall as I got a notice in the mail for that one ...never did it though because mine's fine.

and nobody has ever sat in the rear of my car and likely never will.

(might not be something that ever impacted the SS's - or didn't warrant a recall for them)

Wasn’t this TSB for LGX?

Glad I'm not the only one who ignores these recalls. I have the electric steering swap outstanding. I dread the thought of the dealer even jacking my car.

Unfortunately it looks like you can add me to the list of having a fan go out. Noticed the other day my ac cutting in and out and I can watch the compressor cut on and off with just a little wiggle from the fan but never actually manages to start up. What's weird is that my car has not overheated and it's already in the mid 90s here in Texas.

Seems like it can happen to anyone. I'm definitely not impressed with any of the electronics on this car. I've had to change temp sensors door actuators and now a cooling fan on a car with only 15k miles.

Don't jinx yourself it's still the same fan used in the 2016 cars.

Just a heads up for anybody doing this theirself the only hose you really need to remove is the small bottom one on the passenger side. With that hose removed it gives you enough room you can walk the fan side to side and straight out the top. Just be ready to have a pan underneath the car because quite a bit of coolant will come out if your not ready for it. Other than that it's pretty straight forward and doesn't really take any special tools to change it out.

Maybe a good plan would be to get a hose clamp on the bottom hose to reduce how much coolant you lose.

That would help but it's not the hose you have to worry about really its the barb that comes out the radiator housing. The hose you can bend up and out of the way. I ended up using a vacuum cap backwards and stuck it halfway inside that barb and it stopped leaking.

As always, you may be able to get away with less steps, if you're able to reposition hoses out of the way instead of completely removing them.
Yo man, how on earth do i get the 3 shroud bolts on bottom of fan off? Does this have to be done from underneath the car? I absolutely dont know how I’d access them without going under
