I am getting P050D “cold start rough idle” & P0300 “ random multiple missfire detected” my bumper to bumper warranty is out I have 30k miles on it. The check engine light comes and goes. I am thinking I need to take it into the dealership and have a diagnostic done. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was the issue? I have 2016 2SS convertible.

Hopefully it's not what I had which was a clogged injector. I can't remember the second code that I had. I was able to extract some additional information with my code reader that showed the number of misfires on each cylinder. Hopefully it's just a bad batch of fuel.
You may be out of your B-2-B but the drivetrain warranty is 10 years (I believe) so that should still be covered. (Previous comment is not binding.)

Yeah, after I posted that I figured that was wrong.

Hate to tell you SlickP but one of your fuel injectors is going bad! I had the same thing happen to my 2016 SS last year and it was covered under warranty! After replacing the injector the engine ran like it did when the car was new.

How much did you end up spending on the clogged injector?

SlickP, your 2016 should be covered under warranty for the injector replacement as they have a TSB on the issue. Since you are in Atlanta take it to Hendrick Chevy and let them check it out. They do a bore check on the cylinder with the bad injector to see if any coolant is in the cylinder too as part of the repair.

I've been told by people who tune that its the di. Port injection has one advantage of hitting the back of the intake valve with gasoline, and this helps vaporize the gas, di does not have this. My SS also does this. My wife's 2018 Silverado 5.3 does it too.

I agree with some of the others its nothing to worry about.

I feel like I have the same issue. its easier to spot when its cold but still able to feel it when you stop at the light. Its pretty random too, its like engine is kicking or jerking from the inside here and there. I dont really know how to explain it without feeling it yourself. I took it to the dealer 2 days ago, who said that their best techs could not find anything. Even though they felt it, he said that its probably aggresive cam shaft or something, as there is no CEL. I guess ill just to have live with it for now.

As long as the CEL doesn’t come on, you don’t have an issue! Once that comes on then get it checked out.

I have a ‘21 SS 1le that will only p0300 on the race track at track day. Can’t get it to happen on the street yet.

It takes only a lap or 2 and boom TC turns back on flashing CEL, service rear axle etc, car chugging backfiring sputtering, disconnect battery all fine… until you go on the track again

Does anyone have the BlueDriver scan tool? I was curious if it’s worth the money.
