Exclamation Interior Spectrum lighting on a 1LE 1SS

I have a 2020 1SS 1LE. I had my dealer install the Structura Interior Spectrum lighting & footwell kit. Official GM Part#84043877.

The lighting changes with the drive modes. But I do not have the interior lighting menu to manually select the colors through the infotainment.
The service writer is saying my radio is not compatible. I asked if the tech reprogrammed the BCM AND the HMI. Service writer said he would check with the tech and call me back. The kit came with an authorization code.

I read the other threads where a member here had issues with his dealership to properly update his radio. I pm'ed him but haven't heard back.

Anyone else run into this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

$695 for the interior spectrum lighting which includes the footwell lighting.
$660 for the install and it took my dealer 4 days to complete.

I did a DIY install on my 1SS. Looks OEM apart from it being controlled through my phone instead of the radio. I bought the door panels off ebay and bought a LED controller. Taped it into the center console cigarette lighter. I'd be glad to send a write up if you'd be interested. Took about a day and less than $350

To get the infotainment controlled options for the lights you need the HMI module that supports it, the dealer cant just install that like an app. Same reason why people who want to add PDR to their car must also replace the HMI unit.
