Not really. I don't have any issues driving it. I can't imagine getting a v6 or a 4 in any car. Each one I buy keeps getting faster. I had an L82 Corvette, 99 Mustang GT, 2006 Mustang GT, then a 2012 Mustang GT and now a 2016 SS. I guess next up is the ZL1 or C7 or C8 Corvette for me!

Why does the Mustang crowd attract so many posers?
Older Mustang's are cheap and abundant, and they are kind of considered high performance. And they look sporty and cool. So yeah, they attract a lot of posers.

I personally way prefer sleepers over ricers.

Yeah, not to get off topic but this V8 or bust thing is too dramatic. Why can’t the US compete with Europe and Japan with a quick, fun to drive smaller displacement sports car? Camaro and mustangs were never just straight out street thumpers. They were sporty. They always threw some technology at handling and sportiness.

People shouldn’t feel slighted due to having a T4 or a V6 under the hood of their pony car. That’s my 3 cents.

yeah, especially given the fact that camaro used the same suspension parts from 1982-2002. definitely on the cutting edge of technology for 20 years.

Camaro T4 all day

First of all, gotta have a factory powered Sunroof/Moonroof

Camaro looks better, I've just fallen in love with the styling

And from what I understand Ford has had problems with their manual transmissions

Ford is facing a class-action lawsuit over problems in its manual-transmission Mustang

I still have yet to see a proper head-to-head of the I4T1LE vs the 2.3EBHPP.

I think the closest we ever got was the '21 LL. Kind of a shame that they don't get any of the lime light just because they're the base engine models.

My wife has a 2019 EcoBoost Premium convertible Mustang... Not a bad car. Drives pretty nice, solid power IMO. It's not the HPP version but still has 310hp/350tq which is fairly respectable. If down the road she wants more power (doubtful) and the warranty is up... an intake, downpipe, IC, and tune pushes it to around 375whp+/425wtq+ or so.

Interior with the premium package is fairly nice.. leather heated/cooled seats, full digital dash, etc, and she has the a10 transmission as well.

I think the 4cyl looks good in the gen 6 engine bay. Lot of room for big turbo.

Isn't the power to weight in the most powerful BRX/GR86 the same as the Camaro V6 1LE's 12.6lbs/1hp, while in the Mustang EB-HPP it's 11.3lbs/1hp?

Yeah but the torque figure on the BRZ is much weaker than the EB Mustang and V6 Camaro.

The torque dip on the BRZ doesn't help, either.

I completely agree. I was just pointing out that the poster I quoted mentioned he wouldn't consider a vehicle of pony car "size" with a 4 cylinder and that he'd rather pick a BRZ. There doesn't seem to be anything gained by choosing the BRZ/GR86 over a Camaro 2.0 or Mustang EB, especially in 1LE or HPP trims. The torque point you bring up only further cements that.
