Anyone have DownPipes ?

So I’m thinking of adding downpipes to my 2018 CAMARO RS, i currently have MBRP Quad Axle-Back, but I’m not sure how it’s gonna sound, i want it to sound nice. Anybody have that setup? Or what do y’all think ? Thanks !

You have just the axle back and no other exhaust mods?

I got MBRP axle back, cold air intake, throttle body and a throttle body spacer, with a tune

Depending on weather it's catted or not, it could be very raspy. Obviously these V6 motors have a naturally higher pitched note that can get rather raspy quite easily. Weather it's a good sound or not is a matter of opinion.

BTW what tune are you running?

I was gonna get them with cats, and I’m running Trifecta Tune

How would you compare their tune to the stock tune? Any issues? Im considering a tune since my warranty is done soon

I have the American Racing Headers - catted downpipes. Definitely a mod I noticed after updating my tune with them. Pulls harder under open throttle. Would recommend. As far as sound goes, its slightly louder all around, idle etc.

I could definitely feel the difference from the tune vs the stock tune. I feel more power with the tune, the rpms hold longer till the next shift but i adapted to that. But i would recommend it

Did you have the trans tuned as well? IMO it's the worst part about this car. In stock form it gets confused easily, doesn't always drop to the right gear, harsh 1-2 shift, etc..

If I remember right they have a trans tune option (separate from the basic tune option and price) and it's like an extra couple hundred bucks. Something along those lines. Any before and after 0-60 times or something similar?

I have American Racing Headers cattless downpipe with the same axel back as you, i have x pipe in place of my secondary cats and straight piped to the mbrp quad axel back from there. its loud as everything really really loud and kind of annoying sometimes but it def pulls a lot better being completely freeflowing exhaust. everybody tells me i need a ticket and I've gotten one so far :P.

How did you update your tune with them ? Because they said that it’s not required for a retune? But I want them to retune with my catted down pipes
